For my book club this month we covered the amazing: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. This book was a masterpiece. I can see why it won a Pulitzer Prize. It was like viewing literary art.
There were a few character names which resonated with me so I felt the need to create A Name Inspired post from them. Let us start with:
- Laurette – the main character’s name was Marie-Laure, but one of the fellow employees with her father called her Laurette and it really resonated with me.
- Etienne – this is such a beautiful Parisian name. I just love the way it rolls of the tongue.
- Jutta – I am not exactly sure how to pronounce this name for one of the German characters of the story. She was such a strong and resilient character and a great inspiration.
- Werner – Coming to know me better through these name inspired posts you will know that I would of course pick a last name/first name character.
I am leaving it at four names for this post dear readers. These were the four who stood out to me as name-spiration.
This was an amazing story and a great perspective on both sides of a war where we are usually only shown one side.
Let me know if you have read this story literary lovelies and which names call out to you.
Postscript: Which name of your current read calls to you as a name inspired?
