For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to visit/live in New York City. It sprang more from the era of Breakfast at Tiffany’s than Sex and the City, but my desire to be there has always remained constant.
I have yet to make it there, but I know one day I will. Last month my sister and brother-in-law had to visit the city for work, and my sister offered to take a book for a little storefront photo shoot at one of her favourite brands Sezane. If you are looking for a great fashion blogger to follow you can find her here at kaitbos.com.
Here are the stunning photos she took:
I fell in love with the cover art by Jillian Tamaki for the Penguin Threads editions! Especially the above photo which shows a gorgeously embroidered sleeve. The entire cover art consisted of images which had been photographed of the stunning embroidery created by Jillian Tamaki.
I think this is one of my favourite Austen editions so far. I hope this post finds you well dear readers and I would love to hear about any gorgeous covers you have recently come across OR any places you have longed to visit.

Honestly Austen
Postscript: This is the second Penguin cover where I am like take all my money!
I used to live in NYC in the early 2000s. There is something about the City that is invigorating!
If you want a bookish taste of the City, try to get a hold of a copy of the book: Letter from New York by Helene Hanff. It’s a collection of a bunch of short essays about living in the City. The essays are from the late 1970s and early 1980s, but that’s part of the charm. And New Yorkers don’t really change. The book definitely has a little Breakfast at Tiffany’s vibe 😉

Thank you so much for the book recommendation! I will definitely look it up. I hear the city is invigorating! I am in love with it without actually having ever been there.

It is one of my favourite editions of an Austen novel. It pairs perfectly with the bike and lovely flowers.
