Hands

Literary lovelies! Welcome to another Writing Prompt Wednesday. I was going to say this is a short but sweet one, although it starts out sweet yet doesn’t end as such.

The first real thing I noticed about her, was how her hands were like ice. I felt the urge to grasp them within mine, wanting to keep them warm forevermore.

The last real thing I noticed about her, was how her hands were like ice. They burnt through my flesh as they tore my heart out and held it beating in front of me.

As always I welcome your thoughts and let me know what you might have been prompted to write in the comments below!

Honestly Austen

Postscript: Do you listen to music while you write? Most of my writing projects have specific songs which attach themselves to the words. So whenever I hear the song, I am inspired to write.

  1. Oh man, how’d I miss this? What a great prompt…

As for music…hehehehe. Yeah. I don’t listen WHILE I write per se, but I’ll put together playlists that echo the themes and characters, and listen to it on loop between writing sessions.

What’s a writing song you’re jamming to these days?

    • Thanks lovely! As soon as I saw it I was very inspired to write something even though it was shorter than my usual prompts.

I love the idea of putting together a playlist that echo the themes and characters and listening to it between writing!

My current song which is inspiring my latest writing is Fresh Roses by Juke Ross.
