Dear Readers,
It has been almost a month since I wrote my last blog post, which just so happened to be a self-love not to myself for August. What a month September has been. I feel like it started out on a bit of a shaky footing but ended up sagging to the ground the further the month went on.
How has September been treating you? Have you started anything new? School? A job? A great book? A new bag of delicious treats?
I hope you are all doing as well as possible wherever you may be.
For my self-love note for September I am trying to remind myself to be kind.
Dear Me,
The mysterious they say kindness
is a virtue.
Virtue can be defined as a good or admirable
quality or property. (Thanks dictionary.com)
But what happens when the kindness you
so easily extends to others,
you cannot seem to extend to yourself?
You find patience and understanding
for all those around you. (Well most…)
What you need to figure out is how to
shine that kindness inward.
Repeat after me:
You are kind.
You are brilliant.
You are worthy.
You are so much
more than you give yourself
credit for.
Remind yourself every day
if you need to.
Love,
Yourself
Phew! That was a bit of a tricky one to write this month. I hope you are all doing well and I am here if you need to reach out or want to share your own self-love note!
xo
Honestly Austen
It’s hard not to be hard on ourselves sometimes. We’re so quick to forgive others the trespasses we hold against ourselves for decades. I’m glad you’re trying to be easier on yourself. ❤

Thank you so much for your comment! I completely agree that we often find ourselves harder to forgive. I am doing my best to try and show not only others kindness and forgiveness but myself as well.
